Speaking Requests
Thank you for your interest in my availability to be involved in your event. My first calling is to preach God’s Word and to equip others to advance His gospel, so it’s an honor for you to consider the possibility of us partnering together.
With that being said, my responsibilities as a husband, as a professor, and frequently as an interim pastor, make it impossible for me to participate in every event. Consequently, I have a team of individuals (which includes my wife!) that helps me prayerfully consider each request. To guide our consideration, we prioritize the following:
Multi-church events involving pastors and/or church leaders. This helps me be the best steward of my time and giftedness.
Events that don’t require me to be away from home for more than a few days at a time. This helps me be faithful to my family and local ministry at home.
Events that are scheduled Friday through Monday during school semesters. This helps me protect Tuesday through Thursday to teach my classes at Southeastern Seminary. Mid-May through mid-August are more flexible.
Events that make it possible for me to travel with a companion (either my wife or a male student). This helps me protect my personal integrity and the integrity of gospel ministry, as well as to provide time for mentoring.
While I periodically am able to make exceptions to these priorities, I appreciate your gracious understanding of all of them. If you would like to submit an invitation, please complete the form below as thoroughly, and as specifically, as possible. My team will review your kind invitation promptly, and we will respond to you in a timely manner. Even if I’m unable to participate in your event, I pray that God will bless it for the advancement of His Kingdom and glory.
